Florence A. “Skippy” (Hosker) Mullen, 95, of Danvers, passed away on September 3, 2024. She was the wife of the late James F. Mullen.

Born in Lynn on April 2, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Annie (Thompson) Hosker. She was raised and educated in Lynn and graduated from Lynn English High School. Upon graduation she worked at General Electric. Florence was an essential part of her husband’s machine shop, James F. Mullen Co. She enjoyed baking and cake decorating, making beautiful wedding cakes as well as her family’s birthday cakes. She made the best apple pies! She was also a wonderful seamstress. Florence was active in her community and taught CCD for Saint Richard Church.

Florence loved being a mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her husband and family had been the LOVE of her life.

She is survived by four children, Robert Mullen and his wife, Trisha of Danvers, Stephen Mullen and his wife Jody of Beverly, John Mullen and his wife Jane of Beverly and Christine Wright of Danvers, her daughter-in-law, Caroline Mullen of NH, ten grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, James, and her siblings, Raymond, James and George Hosker, Louise Higgins and Lucy Gillies.

Her graveside service will be held at 10AM on Thursday, September 5, 2024 in Annunciation Cemetery, 155 Hobart St., Danvers. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Florence’s name to the Danvers Senior Center, checks made to The Friends of the Danvers Council on Aging, 25 Stone Street Danvers, MA, 01923.
