Francis W. "Frank" Hall

Francis William "Frank" Hall, 87, of Peabody, formerly of Needham, died November 23, 2010 at noon. He was the loving husband of Carol (Bateman) Hall, with whom he shared sixty-two years of marriage. Born in Needham on Feb. 1, 1923, he was a graduate of Weston High School. He went on to serve in the US Army Air Corps as a fighter pilot during WWII, obtaining the rank of captain and as a squadron leader. Following his time in the service, he went on to graduate from Wentworth Institute in 1950. He then worked for Pittsburg Plate Glass and American Saint Gobain in the glass division as the New England Regional Sales Manager. For twelve years, Mr. Hall volunteered his time as a Cub Scout and Boy Scout Leader with Troop 13 in Needham. He was proud that his sons Jeffrey and Thomas and grandson Andrew all obtained their Eagle Scout rank. For more than twenty years, he was an active member and lay leader at the Carter Memorial Methodist Church in Needham. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Sharon Hall, Thomas W. Hall, and Jonathan Hall, and his grandchildren, Erica J. Hall, Christina M. Hall, Cameron J.J. Hall, and Margaret K. Hall. He was predeceased by his son Jeffrey J. Hall. His Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at 11AM in the Chapel at Brooksby Village, Brooksby Village Dr., Peabody.
