Frederick C. Faust, 86, passed away on June 9, 2026. He passed peacefully in his sleep after a lengthy illness. He was the husband of the late Joan Edwards (Palmer) Faust.

Born in Dauberville, Pennsylvania on July 30, 1939 he was the son of the late William and Mary (Weidner) Faust. Frederick moved to Danvers when he was six years old and he was a graduate of Holten High School Class of 1957.

In 1961, Frederick married Joan and together they settled in Centerville, Beverly where they raised 4 children. Deeply involved in the Lutheran Church and his community, he served for many years on the board of the Centerville Improvement Society, including a long tenure as president. He was a charter member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Beverly then a member of Saint John Lutheran in Peabody.

A true “Jack of all trades, especially electrical,” he was often found helping neighbors with repairs or lending a hand wherever needed. When he was not helping others, he enjoyed tinkering around the house, yard and automobiles.

Fred had a long career in distribution and warehouse management for several national companies including Warner Lambert, Cool-Ray sunglass, Polaroid sunglass, SKYR ski wear and United Pipe and Steel.

He is survived by four children, Stephen Faust and his wife Wendy of Missouri, Lynne Scouras of Beverly, Lisa Faust of New Hampshire and David Faust and his wife Kris of Beverly, a sister-in-law Roxie Faust of Maryland, a brother-in-law Clay Nau of New Hampshire, 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son-in-law Peter Scouras and siblings Harry, Russell and William Faust and Leah Nau.
