  3. My condolences to the entire Orechia Family. Arthur was my Shotgun partner at Beverly Golf and Tennis for years. He also kept an eye out for our sons Brian and Bobby on the DHS Hockey Team. Arthur was a no-nonsense Guy, whether it was interacting with youth for his youth football team, keeping high school hockey players under control or organizing events at Beverly Golf and Tennis. He was a character that you had to enjoy every moment being around.

  4. I would to express my condolences to the Orechia family. When I was a young boy growing up in Danvers, Arthur gave me my first summer job working with the public works highway department. I was proud to be out earning my own paycheck. Arthur’s son Mike and I were close friends for many years. I regret letting so many years go by without staying in touch. One of my best memories of Art was the day he allowed Mike and me to take his old blue pickup truck, I think a GMC out to drive around town. I remember him smiling as we left the driveway on Liberty Street. He knew the clutch was bad. We got stuck at the light at the intersection of Pine st.and Holten st. THe clutch wouldn’t let us go forward when the light changed. Luckily, no one was behind us so Mike was able to slip back down pine st. and turn around! We had hours of fun. I will remember that day forever. Both Carol and Arthur were incredibly kind to me. I will be forever grateful to both. And for the great times I had with Mike as a true friend. George “Art” Orechia was a kind and honorable man.
    With great respect.

  5. Condolences to all of the family. My mom is at Masco and I have enjoyed getting to know Art during my visits to Masco. He would sit so serenely outside him room asked if he were meditating:) He said he was thinking about being on the island he often visited. Always friendly and kind…I will miss seeing him.

  6. Sorry for your loss. Art was my first football coach in 1982 for the Danvers Redskins. He made an amazing impact on me and my love for the game.
