His favorite activities included sailing, skiing, tennis, golfing, hiking, traveling and working in his yard. Huck loved New England sports. As a sports fan, he would often stay up until 1 AM listening to a Patriots or a Red Sox game, even at age 99. He was an active member of the Congregational Church of Topsfield and the Topsfield Historical Society. He and Betty were members of the Shindiggers square dance club and they danced weekly for decades. His proudest accomplishment was his close and loving family. He was a wonderful friend, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and neighbor. Huck was a genuine treasure to all and beloved by the Roundy family.
Never a dull moment when Huck and family rolled into town. He will be missed.
I fondly remember George at the monthly ROMEO lunches that I was able to attend. Though his hearing wasn’t all that good, he clearly did his best to attend to the conversation. When he did chime in, it was always on topic, so I believe he paid close attention to what was going on. I always enjoyed seeing him present in. Zoom during Sunday worship. He was truly a wonderful man whom I wish I had had a chance to know even more closely.
