George Leo Sharkady

63, passed away at the Kaplan Family Hospice House. Born on March 2, 1946 in Vestaburg, PA, he was the son of the late Michael and Mary (Billak) Sharkady. He was raised and educated in Pennsylvania and was a graduate of California State in PA. George had been a resident of Danvers for the past twenty years. He was a past president and member of P.R.L.A.C.C. in Danvers and also was a member of the BPO Elks Lodge 776 in Washington, PA. He is survived by a sister, Julia Moore of IL and a brother Paul Sharkady of PA, a dear friend Betsy Lapointe of Danvers, many nieces and nephews and his extended family at the Polish Club in Danvers. He was predeceased by siblings, Michael, John, Charles and Thomas Sharkady, Mary Koval, Margaret Lesko and Dorothy Foglia. His funeral services are private at the request of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in George’s name to the P.R.L.A.C.C. Ethnic Scholarship Fund, 12 Cheever St., Danvers, MA, 01923. Arrangements are made by C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers.
