George R. Boucher

George R. Boucher, of Beverly, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2015 at Beverly Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was the loving husband of Rosemary Boucher, with whom he shared 39 wonderful years together. Born in Beverly on Sept. 28, 1935, he was the son of the late Florence and Hector Boucher. He was raised and educated in Beverly and was a graduate of Beverly High School. For 43 years, George was employed by the United Shoe Machine Corporation in Beverly. He also served in the Army National Guard. He loved gardening, woodworking, and traveling with his wife. In addition to his wife, he leaves three sisters, Betty Tuneburg, Eloise Painter, and Eileen Luther; five children, Linda Fisher, Keith Boucher, Cynthia Fitzgerald, Jeffrey Alsup Sr., and Pamela Balboni; four grandchildren, Jeffrey Alsup Jr., Joshua Boucher, Zachary Balboni, and Samantha Fitzgerald; and several nieces and nephews. At George’s request, there will be no services held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave., 7th fl., New York, NY 10001.
