Gerald J. Dupuis

SALEM-Gerald J. Dupuis of Salem, formerly of Lynn, died on August 3, 2023. Born in Lynn on December 22, 1933, Gerald was a long-time resident before relocating a few years ago to the John Bertram House in Salem where he received excellent, compassionate care. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War and a decades long employee of the General Electric Lynn River Works. Gerald was a quiet, gentle, and private soul with a wry sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his nieces Linda Manning and Susan Manning, his nephew Thomas Manning, his stepsister Gloria Powers and her husband Roger, and his cousin Frances Murray. He is also survived by William Sylvanowicz, the husband of Gerald's recently deceased stepsister, Phyllis Sylvanowicz He was predeceased by his sister, Corinne Manning, his brothers, Leo and Norman, his parents Alfred and Eva Dupuis, his stepmother Mae Dupuis, and stepsister Pauline Novick and her husband Joseph Novick. His funeral services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Gerald’s name to the Food for the Poor, 6401 Lyons Rd, Coconut Creek, FL, 33073.
