Geraldine M. Abbott

DANVERS- Geraldine M. (Haskins) Abbott, 86, passed away on February 6, 2016 in Hathorne Hill Healthcare. She was the wife of the late Albert W. Abbott. Born in Beverly on October 2, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Matilda (Sanphy) Haskins. She was raised and educated in Beverly and graduated from Saint Mary’s School in Beverly in 1947. She was dedicated to her family and loved spending time with them. She also enjoyed dancing, warm weather and time at the beach. She is survived by her three daughters, Paula Payne and her husband Kevin of Concord, NH, Patti Boyer and her husband Steven of Georgetown and Carolyn Karp and her husband Jeffrey of Beverly, her brother Harold Haskins of NH, fourteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Allen J. Abbott and her granddaughter Rebecca Ann Karp. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9AM on Friday, February 12, 2016 in Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Visiting hours will be held from 4-8PM on Thursday at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. In lieu of flowers donation in Geraldine’s memorial may be made the Jimmy Fund, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284 or the Shriners Hospital, 2900 N. Rocky Point Dr., Tampa FL 33607.
