Glendene E. (DeWilde) Lake, 88, “Glennie”, passed away peacefully on Jan. 11 at Country Manor Skilled Nursing and Rehab. in Newburyport, where she was well cared for during the past twelve years. She was born on Dec. 11, 1922, the daughter of the late John and Edith (Judd) DeWilde. Glennie graduated from Holten High School in Danvers, Class of 1940. She lived most of the life in Danvers prior to moving to Georgetown to live with her daughter Nancy and late son-in-law Richie Clough. She was employed for many years at Bett’s Secretarial Bureau and later Minute Man Press prior to her retirement in 1996. She is survived by a daughter Nancy Clough of Georgetown, and a son and daughter-in-law Rusty and Pam Lake of Danvers, ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter Patricia (Lake) Murch and son Charles “Chuck” Lake, Jr. and great grandson Jake Foster Murch. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 10:30AM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. Vst hrs are Thurs. from 4-8PM.
