Glenice L. (Marchant) Willey

Glenice L.(Marchant) Willey 78, passed away Sept. 10, 2009 in a local nursing facility. Born in Boston on May 23, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Marchant and Hazel (Frost) Kirkpatrick. She was raised and educated in South Windham and Portland, Maine. Glenice was a Licensed Practical Nurse and had been employed at Danvers and Tewksbury State Hospitals. She also worked as a bookkeeper for family businesses for many years. Glenice was a member of the Eastern Star in Danvers. She also loved animals, especially cats. She is survived by three sons, Dennis H. Willey of Middleton, Timothy A. Willey and his partner Robyn Stedman of Middleton and Arthur E. Willey, Jr. of Biddeford, ME, five grandchildren, Jason Dixey, Paul Peters, Shakira Willey, Josh Willey and Nathan Stedman, 3 great grandchildren, and a dear friend Earl Ware. She was predeceased by former husband Arthur E. Willey Sr., and a son David K. Willey. A Graveside Service will be held on Tues., Sept. 15, 2009 at 10:30AM in Oakdale Cemetery, Middleton. Vst. hrs are Mon. from 6PM-8PM at C.R. Lyons & Sons Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Glenice’s name to Northeast Animal Shelter Attn: Memorial Donations, 347 Highland Ave., Salem, MA 01970.
Timmy- Dennis- Junior Words can not express how sorry I am to hear about your mother. She was my best friend for alot of years and I will never have a dearer friend then her in my lifetime.
