Grace Macdonough

Grace M. (Downing) Macdonough, 82, died on Nov. 3, 2010 in Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital in New York. She was the wife of the late Robert Macdonough. Born in South Weymouth on June 25, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Grace (Riley) Downing. She was raised and educated in South Weymouth and a graduate of Sacred Heart High School. Grace had been a resident of Foxborough, where she raised her family. She enjoyed gardening and was an avid reader. She is survived by her children, Patrick and Lisa Macdonough of Batavia, NY and Margaret and William of Getzville, NY, four grandchildren, Jack and Riley Macdonough and Anthony and Luke Higgins, nine siblings, Charles of Holbrook, Paul of Framingham, Richard of Sherborn, Jack of Freemont, NH, Larry of Chester, NH, Robert of Wells, ME, Stephen of Portland, ME, Joan Cahee of Danvers and Kathy Ransom of Alexander, VA, many nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9AM on Mon., Nov. 8, 2010 in St. Mary of the Annunciation Church. Burial will be at 12:45PM in Mass. National Cemetery, Bourne, MA. Vst. Hrs. are Sun 2-5PM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Assoc., 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472.
