Gregory R. Norris

BEVERLY- Gregory R. Norris, 61, passed away on December 7, 2015 in Beverly Hospital, following a brief illness.
Born in Danvers on October 18, 1954, he was the son of the late Maurice and Rita (Cook) Norris. He was raised and educated in Danvers and graduated from Danvers High School in 1972. He enlisted in the United States Army and served as a military police officer. He had been employed with North Shore Vault Company for over 40 years. Greg enjoyed fishing with his dog, Damien and especially spending time with his grandson, C.J.
He is survived by his children, Jay Cormier of Beverly, Jessica Norris of NC and Jamie Norris of Beverly, three sisters, Rita Vetrano of Everett, Linda Gordon and Brenda Truette, both of NC and his beloved grandson, Conrad “C.J.”
His family and friends will gather graveside to share memories at 2PM on Saturday, December 12, 2015 in North Beverly Cemetery, Cabot St., Beverly. There are no visiting hours. My condolences to Greg’s family–children, grandson and sisters. I didn’t know Greg well but always tried to get in a little visit with him whenever I was able to make a trip to the States. Many years ago Greg drove my young son and me to Boston to attend a ball game. This was the highlight of my son’s trip and I enjoyed catching up on family news. Rest in Peace cousin.

Lit a candle in memory of Gregory R. Norris
I knew greg when he was stationed at schofield barracks, hawaii. Great guy, friendly and went out of his way to help me. So sad to see his passing (just now saw the obit) and i will miss him. Condolences to the family.
