Harry John Hutchinson Poulton

How does a spouse who just lost the love of her life find the strength to write a tribute to a husband who was bigger than life and touched so many other lives. Trying to cram 52 years of his life into a few paragraphs just doesn’t seem to do justice. It would take writing a book to properly memorialize him. I will try my best at the darkest time of my life to share a bit about him. Harry passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Friday, June 2. He was a dedicated husband to Rebecca (Hutchinson) Poulton for 22 years, a loving, doting dog Dad to Ramona and a friend to many. Harry grew up in upstate NY and Dalton, MA, moving to Beverly, MA where he found a love for the ocean and boating. Harry went to Wahconah Regional High School and then attended UMass Amherst where he developed many lifelong, closeknit friendships. Upon graduating he became an exemplary salesman in the printing industry. He was very passionate about his work and enjoyed interacting with his clients. Harry prided himself on many self-taught skills. He was quite the craftsman and savvy with anything tech related. He liked to tinker with remote control planes, drones and clocks. He was always eager to learn more. He enjoyed cooking (particularly on his smoker), golfing, skiing, fishing and camping. He also was perfectly content relaxing on the couch watching television. He loved most finding the time to go on adventures with his wife and dog. Harry will be remembered by others as constantly whistling a happy tune. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was big on holidays and other celebrations. Neighbors would look forward to his Christmas light display each year. Along with his wife and fur baby he leaves behind a mother-in-law, Elizabeth Havens, father-in-law, Robert Hutchinson, sister-in-law, Katie Fusaro (Jim), nieces and nephew Emily and Ethan Scheve, Amber Sumner, Sara Engle and other extended family. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Donations can be made to an animal rescue of your choice. Online condolences are available at www,LyonsFuneral.com

  1. How to sum up a life in a few words seems impossible to me yet here we are. You lived life quietly, but fully. You and Bec didn’t let much stand in the way of your many adventures. Things i couldn’t even imagine doing myself. You loved and supported both Emily and Ethan … E especially. He felt recognized and understood when talking to you. He loved gaming with you and flying (and crashing) your planes. Your physical being will be so missed. But I know you will walk with every person whose life you touched. We will say your name, we will share stories and we will remember. ♥️ Katie

  2. A beautiful soul that will be missed GREATLY. Christmas’ and barbecues will never be the same, but he will always be with us in spirit. Much much love to my family. I know he is resting with Olivia and Beezus on his lap whistling a tune.

  7. I’m so incredibly sorry for this terrible loss. I feel so fortunate I got to know Harry and work with him. He truly was such a wonderful person that cared deeply for his friends, family, and co-workers. I will miss our work chats that were mostly spent discussing our personal lives instead of work. My heart is with you all during this difficult time.
