Helen M. (Walsh) Sullivan

Helen M. (Walsh) Sullivan, 96, went home to God on October 16, 2013. She was the wife of the late Francis X. Sullivan, M.D. Born in Lowell on May 16, 1917, she was the daughter of the late John P. and Rosanna (Feeney) Walsh. Helen was raised and educated in Lowell and graduated from the Immaculate Conception High School. She was an avid Boston sports fan and enjoyed knitting. Helen especially adored spending time and caring for her family. Helen is survived by her children, Francis X. Sullivan, Jr. of Lynnfield, James J. Sullivan and his wife Emily of Newbury, Michael T. Sullivan and his wife Kathleen of Franklin, Elizabeth R. Kenny of Topsfield, Kathleen Larkin and her husband Francis of Newburyport and Joan Soeth and her husband Mark of Rochester, NY, her grandchildren, Kerry, Matthew and his wife Sara, LeighAnn and her husband Christopher, Sarah, Kevin, Pamela, Courtney, Kelsey, Allison, Laura, Cooper, Frankie and great grandchildren, Sienna and Chase. She was predeceased by her daughter Patricia Anne Sullivan. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9AM on Wednesday October 23, 2013 in St. Rose of Lima Church, Park St., Topsfield. Burial will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Lowell. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 4-7PM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in Helen’s name to the Topsfield Fire Fighters Relief Assoc., P.O. Box 15, Topsfield, MA, 01983.
