Helen O. (Ploss) (Stanley) Pike

Helen O. (Ploss) (Stanley) Pike, 91, peacefully passed away in her home on Nov. 17, 2010. She was the loving wife of the late James Pike, Jr. and Edward I. Stanley. Born in Beverly on July 22, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Florence (Neagles) Ploss. She was raised and educated in Beverly and graduated from Beverly High School in 1937. Helen had been employed as a Licenses Registered Nurse at the Danvers State Hospital for many years. She also worked as a private duty nurse. She is survived by her children, Paul Stanley of Salisbury, Bruce Stanley of Haverhill, Alan Stanley of Guam, Barbara Pyburn of Danvers, Cheryl Wojeck of Beverly, Donna Gorman of Haverhill, Sandra Kawalski of Peabody, sister of Everett Ploss of NH, Virginia Marruzzie of Andover and Mildred Baker of NH, over thirty grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She was predeceased by three children, Edward “Bud” Stanley, Jr, David Stanley and Helen Beaulieu and two siblings, Richard Ploss, Ella Mae Baker. Visiting Hours are Sunday, Nov. 21, 2010 from 2-4:30PM. Memories will be shared from 4:30-5PM in C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. All other services are private. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Helen’s name to VNA Care Hospice, 5 Federal St., Danvers, MA, 01923.
Grammy, I love you and I will miss you a lot.Rest in peace. From what I can remember we had some happy times. I will always love you! I am sorry you never met my son but I can share happy things to him about you. Love you!
