Helen R. Carter

Helen R. (Chase) Carter, 84, of Mashpee, died January 22, 2014. She was the wife of the late Richard Carter. Born in Danvers on Dec. 15, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Ruth (Horne) Chase. She was raised and educated in Danvers and resided in Danvers and Peabody for most of her life. She loved her grandchildren, playing bingo and cards, and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by a daughter, Anne Carter Aia and her husband Joseph Aia of Mashpee, a sister, Lois Mahoney of Danvers, her grandchildren, Tammy Ricciardi of Medford, Joseph Aia , Jr. of Salem, Billie-Jo Aia of New Bedford, and Sherri Cuddy of N.C., 14 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her siblings Raymond & Bertrand Chase, Barbara Porter, Lorraine Mallia, Joanne Thomas, Shirley Angelakis & Susan Maily. Her Funeral Service will be Monday evening at 6:30PM in C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. Visitation will precede the service beginning at 5PM.
