Henry Daniels Jr.

Henry Daniels, Jr., 88, died Sunday, October 2, 2011 following a brief illness in the Kaplan Family Hospice House. He was the husband of the late Helen (Hickey) Daniels. Born in Newport, RI on May 1, 1923, he was the son of the late Henry and Helen (Raposa) Daniels. He was raised and educated in Peabody and served in the US Navy during WWII and was a life member of the Swampscott VFW Post 1240. A longtime Lynnfield resident, Mr. Daniels was employed for many years at the GE Riverworks plant in Lynn. An avid Red Sox fan, he enjoyed wintering in West Palm Beach, FL. He is surviced by a brother and sister-in-law, John and Hope Daniels of Danvers, and his niece and nephews, Susan Skop, John Daniels, Jr., and Patrick, Shaun, and Mark Finnegan. He was the brother of the late Alice Finnegan. His Funeral Service will be Thursday, October 6, 2011 at 11AM in C.R. Lyons & Sons, funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Lynn. Relatives and friends are invited. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral from 10-10:45AM in the funeral home.
