Henry Stepchin

Henry Stepchin, 90, died Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at the Rosewood Nursing Center in Peabody following a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Rita (Leclerc) Stepchin, with whom he shared 63 years of marriage. Born in Peabody on August 7, 1924, he was raised and educated in Peabody and was a graduate of Peabody High School, Class of 1942. He had been employed at Boley’s Auto and later Sudbay in Gloucester for many years. A longtime Danvers resident, he was a communicant of Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church. He leaves his sisters-in-law, Loretta Stepchin and Gloria L’heureux and her husband Robert, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Frank Stepchin. His Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at 11AM in C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. Burial will follow in Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Salem. Relatives and friends are invited. Visitation will precede the service from 9:00 to 10:45AM prior to the service in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
