Hilda E. (Freeman) Prince, 84, passed away on August 16, 2012 in the Sterling Village Healthcare Center in Sterling, MA. She was the wife of the late Richard H. Prince. Born in Beverly on June 17, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Vincent T. and Bessie E. (Whitman) Freeman. She was raised and educated in Beverly. Hilda was employed as a draftswoman at the former United Shoe Factory for over 30 years. She enjoyed waterskiing, square dancing, skating and skiing. Hilda also enjoyed spending time at her vacation home in Maine, where she wintered. She loved animals and was a member of the Audubon Society. She is survived by a brother, Donald Freeman and his wife Carol of Leominster, a sister-in-law Georgette Freeman of West Boylston and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, Vincent, Thomas and Raymond Freeman. A Graveside service will be held at 10AM on Monday, August 20, 2012 in North Beverly Cemetery, Cabot Street. Beverly. Visiting hours are Sunday from 3-6PM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Assoc., 311 Arsenal St. Watertown MA 02472 or Northeast Animal Shelter, 347 Highland Ave, Salem, MA 01907.
