James F. Ellison

James F. Ellison, Jr., 74, died Friday, December 23, 2022 at Care One Rehab in Concord following a lengthy illness. Born in Salem on Nov. 9, 1948, he was the son of the late James and Virginia (Rooke) Ellison, Sr. Jim was raised and educated in Hamilton and was a graduate of Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School, Class of 1967. He served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, where he was stationed in Alaska for nearly 18 months. Jim was employed as a mechanic until his retirement, including at Lamson Bus Lines in Hamilton. An avid model train enthusiast, his impressive collection was donated to the Wenham Museum. He leaves his siblings, Cynthia Mace of Marblehead, David Ellison of Ipswich, Daniel Ellison and his wife Judy of Ipswich, and Joan DeLorenzo and her husband Joseph of Jackson, NH, as well as many nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Jim will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Wenham Museum, 132 Main St., Wenham, MA 01984.
