James J. Sharry, Jr., 65, peacefully passed away in his home surrounded by his family on June 13, 2013. He was the loving husband of Kathleen (Wilson) Sharry with whom he shared nearly 38 years of marriage. Born on July 19, 1947in Somerville, he was the son of Dorothy (McDonald) Sharry of Andover and the late James J. Sharry. Jim was raised and educated in Stoneham and graduated from Stoneham High School in 1964. He went on to St. Anselm College and received his bachelor’s degree in 1969. Jim had been employed as a regional sales representative for C.R. Gibson for over thirty years. Jim was very active within his community. He was past president and member of the Topsfield Athletic Assoc. for many years. Jim coached Little League baseball, flag football and basketball. Jim’s family would like to express their gratitude to the Staff of the Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Dana Farber Institute and many others for the genuine and compassionate care that was given to him during his illness. Besides his wife, Kathleen, he is survived by his three children, Meghan D’Ambrosio and her husband Adam of Woburn, Michael Sharry and his wife Desiree of WA and Kevin Sharry and his girlfriend Marisa Moreschi of Malden, his sister Gayle Beauchesne and her husband Steven of N. Andover, two nephews and his niece, Justin Beauchesne and his wife Krystin, Allison Beauchesne and Jamie Ligon. He was predeceased by his sister Kathleen Ligon. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11AM on Monday, June 17, 2013 in St. Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St, Danvers. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Topsfield. Visiting hours are Sunday from 5-8PM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in Jim’s name to Hospice of the North Shore, 75 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA, 01923.
Jim, I will miss you forever. You have always been my champion in life. You were the best brother in law anyone could want. I have always adored you and how you lived your life. May God bless you in heaven. I know my Mother was waiting for you with open arms, she always loved you too.May you rest in peace, my friend.
