James M. Tinkham, 58, a lifelong Danvers resident, died at his home in Danvers on Wednesday, March 29, 2023. Born in Danvers on January 29, 1965, he was the son of Eileen (Cotter) Tinkham of Danvers and the late Wayne Tinkham. Jim worked in construction and was a talented mason. He was a gentle soul and loved animals. He was a movie buff with a great sense of humor and enjoyed rebuilding muscle cars. Jim was a devoted caretaker to his mother and father for many years. In addition to his mother, he leaves his siblings and their spouses, Wayne and Lisa Tinkham of Danvers, Brenda and Robert Mazzotti of Newburyport, David and Tammy Tinkham of Danvers, and Kathy and John McCully of Derry, NH, his nieces and nephews, Amanda, Christopher, Bobby, Alicia, Alexis, Jessica, Jacob, and Kyle, and several dear friends. Visiting hours are Tuesday, April 4, 2023 from 5-6:45PM in C.R. Lyons & Sons Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. A funeral service will follow at 7PM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jim’s memory may be made to the ASPCA, P.O. Box 96929, Washington, DC 20090.   2. So sad to here of Jim’s passing. He didn’t say much but when he did it was heartfelt.
    An extremely good mason as well as many other skills this kid could do it all.
    He sent me the most wonderful card when we lost our daughter, I’m so grateful that I was able to thank him personally for such a thoughtful gesture. God Bless you Jim.
