Jean Wentworth

T. Jean (Davidson) Wentworth, 88, of Danvers, died Saturday, May 6, 2017 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers following a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late Galen M. Wentworth.
Born in Peabody in 1927, she was the daughter of the late Guy C. and Margaret A. (Maney) Davidson. Following her graduation from Saint John’s High School in Peabody, she entered the Beverly Hospital School of Nursing. A highly respected and dedicated registered nurse, she remained active in her practice well into her eighties.
The happiness Jean and Galen shared at their 1950 marriage endured until his passing in 1997. She shared her bandleader husband’s passion for dance music. Her favorite pastimes were playing the piano, gardening, and caring for her cherished Kitty Cats.
One of nine children, she is survived by her brothers, Joseph and Guy Davidson of Sebring and Sebastian, FL, respectively, and her sister, Priscilla (Nicholas) Giardino of Middleborough. She was predeceased by her brothers John, Franklin, and Paul Davidson, her sister, Mary (Walter) Conrad, and her sister Ursula Davidson, who died in infancy. In addition to her loving cousins, Jeffrey and Mark Mercer of Peabody, she leaves many nephews, nieces, other cousins, sisters and brothers-in-law.
Funeral Services will be private. Interment will take place in Monumental Cemetery, Wallis St., Peabody. Donations in memory of Jean may be made to Kaplan Family Hospice House, 75 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA 01923.
