Jeanette F. Casale

DANVERS - Jeanette Francis (Depasquale) Casale, 82, passed peacefully Wednesday, July 8th, following a courageous battle with multiple illnesses. She was surrounded by her adoring family as she made the journey home. Born January 8th, 1933, in Wethersfield, CT to Patrick and Josephine (Vasile) Depasquale, Jeanette devoted her adulthood to raising a loving family in Danvers, MA. She was a generous, funny, positive, and uncommonly kind friend and mother who touched the lives of all who knew her with awesome grace and humility. More than anything, Jeanette loved being in the company of her children and grandchildren, especially when visiting her most 'happiest place on earth', Walt Disney World. She lived life with an open-hearted spirit, always finding the positive in everyone, and God's peace in every situation. She will be sadly missed, but forever adored. Jeanette is predeceased by her parents, her sister Tina Rea, and by her exceptional and forever husband, Rudy Casale, who was surely close by to welcome her over the threshold home. She is survived by her brother Patrick Depasquale of Danvers, MA, her 6 children: son, Jeffrey Casale and daughter-in-law, Susan, of Windham, NH; daughter, Cathy Casale of Rochester, NH; daughter, Janice Goodwin and son-in-law, Peter, of Middleton, MA; son, Daniel Casale and daughter-in-law Patricia, of Lynn, MA; daughter, Tina Weinberger of Berwick, ME; daughter, Anne Casale-Skinner and son-in-law Michael of Danvers, MA; and honorary son Kevin Gaudette of Falmouth, MA. She's also survived by 18 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, as well as several nephews, nieces and cousins and many, many friends. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11AM on Monday, July 13, 2015 in Saint Richard Church, 90 Forest St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Saint Mary Cemetery, Salem. Visiting hours are Sunday from 2-6PM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Jeanette’s name to the Polycystic Kidney Disease Foundation, 8330 Ward Parkway, #510, Kansas City, MO, 64114.

  1. Grammy was a parent to me and my brother Alex. We grew up living with her and while she was humble saying it was all our mother who did the raising she did as well whether she’d admit it or not. I learned kindest, open mind, and love for family from her amongst many life lessons. She is deeply missed and loved by many. ❤️

  2. I was a complete stranger to Grammy but she took me in and made me part of her family when I needed family the most. Just having her there talking with me and Brina while making meatballs or yelling at us because we wouldn’t stop playing with the lobsters meant the world to me. She was the Grammy I never had and I truly hope she knows the impact she made not just on my life but countless others. God knows how we would have ended up without her telling us when we were being stupid and cheering us on when we didn’t think we could make it any further. Grammy I love you and will treasure you always.

  3. Jeanette was a second mother to me in my early years on ledge wood drive! When I think of my childhood-I think of the casales and eating Jeanette’s meatballs! I loved her all my life! She was truly a hero in my book! All my love to all the casales! Xo

  4. One of my fondest Jeanette memories is of the time we shared as roommates at Disney. Not much sleep, but oh, the joys we shared talking about our beloved family.
