Jeanette V. Lebel

jeanette lebel
Jeanette V. (Mscisz) Lebel, 89, died peacefully on Friday, December 1, 2023, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House, surrounded by her beloved family. She was the cherished wife of Ralph J. Lebel of Danvers. Born on February 17, 1934, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Babiarz) Mscisz. She was a lifelong Danvers resident. She was educated in Peabody and Danvers, and a graduate of the Essex Agricultural School. A lifelong Danvers resident, Jeanette was employed at Sylvania and Hotwatt, as well as running a successful Ski-Doo business with her husband Ralph. Her love of knitting, crocheting, and sewing was passed on to her daughters. She donated many hand-made items to various charities. She enjoyed cooking and the holidays, always remembering to make cookies to share with family. Flower arranging was a passion, allowing beautiful bouquets to center a home cooked meal. She enjoyed tending to the garden alongside her husband, growing vegetables for meals and pickling cucumbers, beets and making relish which she shared with family. She loved gathering fresh eggs from their chickens, reminding her of her younger days on Mscisz Farm. She always welcomed family and friends with home cooked cakes and pies to accompany a cup of coffee or tea with a warm place to chat. She enjoyed camping with family and friends at Long Lake campground as well as their trip across the United States, visiting many national parks. Her life will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Above all, Jeanette’s family was her world. In addition to her husband, Ralph, she leaves her children, Nancy Barisano and her husband David, Ralph Lebel and his wife Noreen, David Lebel and his wife Lisa, and Sharon Leach and her husband John, her grandchildren, Teresa, Sarah, Mary, Amy, Thomas, Katherine, and Michelle, her great-grandchildren, Nora, Brady and Casey, her brothers, Chester Mscisz and Louis Mscisz, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Eleanor Walor, Stanley Mscisz, and Paul Mscisz. Her brother Alfred passed away just six days after her death. Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jeanette’s memory may be made to Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan Street, Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923, or Kaplan Family Hospice House, 78 Liberty St., Danvers, MA 01923. Guestbook

  1. We knew Jeanette and Ralph from Outdoor World in Wells, Maine. We loved to hear their travel stories, watched her knit and crochet and prepare an apple pie for Ralph, then sharing a slice or two with us. They picked wild blueberries and would stop by our site to share their harvest. Also enjoyed the Christmas family stories of all the gifts they gathered throughout the year for the Yankee Swap. She always seemed to be laughing. We shared Christmas cards and each January I’d call her to get an update of their life and families. Jeanette was an earthly angel in all that she did and shared.
Since we didn’t get a Christmas greeting we feared something serious had happened. I will miss our annual telephone call.
To Ralph and family we are very sorry for your loss. The world has lost a “special lady” but heaven has gained an angel.
