Jeannette E. (Dossett) Doty

Jeannette E. (Dossett) Doty,79, passed away on October 2, 2009 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House. Born in Beverly on May 4, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Eva (Remon) Dossett. She was raised and educated in Beverly and graduated from Beverly High School. She had resided in Danvers and Ipswich. For many years, Mrs. Doty was a Commander in the Women’s Auxilalry Spear Post in Beverly. She was employed for over 25 years at Danvers State Hospital as a mental health worker. She is survived by four sons and two daughters-in-law, Lawrence and Cynthia Doty of Worcester, Dennis and DeeDee Doty of Ipswich, Robert Doty of Vermont and Ronald Doty of Swampscott, two daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Samuel Stone of Swampscott and Dorothy and Paul Gauthier of Delaware, two brothers, Walter Dossett of Peabody and George O’Brien of Beverly, four sisters, Thelma Howard of Indiana, Alice Provencher of Peabody, Bessie Wesley of Maine and MaryEllen Foan of Beverly, her extended family, the Clark-Doty children; Heidi, Franny, Judy, Jimmy, Anthony and Keith, eighteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren. A Graveside Service will be held on Tues., Oct. 6, 2009 at 10AM in Cowles Memorial Cemetery, 29 Town Farm Rd Ipswich. Vst. Hrs are Mon. from 4-8PM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Hospice of the North Shore, 75 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA 01923.
