Jennifer L. Dabrieo
August 17, 1965 ~ January 26, 2023
Jennifer Lee (Rollins) Dabrieo, 57, passed away peacefully at home in Parish, Florida, on January 26, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones. Jen was born on August 17, 1965, and spent her early childhood years growing up on Preston Street in Danvers, Massachusetts, where her love for family and animals began. There were chickens, horses, dogs, cats, a goat named Schlater, a racoon named Freddie, a crow named Deacon, and her prize pony Nicole that her sister Robin won for her in a raffle. Jen, often referred to as “Niffy”, became an equestrian and spent many years participating in horse shows, where she became a prize rider, winning countless blue ribbons and trophies.
Jen graduated from Danvers High School in 1983 and went on to further her education taking courses at North Shore Community College and Northeastern University. She launched her long-term career at PV Kent & Associates, a healthcare law firm in Danvers, in 1988. Jen started there in an entry level position and over the following 20 years, her skills, expertise, and perseverance earned her a top management position. She was an instrumental leader that attributed to years of success for the firm.
Jen reunited with her high school sweetheart Michael Dabrieo, who was the love of her life, and married in 1997. She was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) just two weeks before her wedding. Jen embraced her MS diagnosis with positivity and a desire to overcome the unknown expected obstacles. She underwent many different treatments over the years including some experimental therapies during her courageous battle. Her desire to overcome her disability was fueled by her love for her husband Mike, daughters Sarah and Amanda, precious grandchildren Johnny and Addison, and her extended family and friends.
Those who had the pleasure of knowing Jen describe her as kind, caring, and certainly the life of the party. She always lit up the room and was eager to chat and let you know what was on her mind. She loved family and friends, music, her Great Danes Patriot, Brady, and Preston, and had a special passion for the beach. This led to her uprooting her family and moving from Amesbury, Massachusetts to Sarasota, Florida on July 4th, 2011, where she would often be found at her “happy place” the beach.
Jen was preceded in death by her parents Gail (Mackie) and Kenneth Rollins Sr. of Georgetown, Massachusetts. She is survived by her loving husband Michael Dabrieo of Sarasota, daughters Sarah (Schrater) Weschler and husband John and adoring grandchildren Johnny and Addison of Parish, Amanda Dabrieo of Sarasota, brothers Kenneth Rollins Jr. and his wife Candice of Middleton, Massachusetts, Timothy Rollins and his wife Cynthia of Georgetown, Massachusetts, her sisters Robin Rowell and her husband Richard of Danvers, Massachusetts, Michelle Rhudick and her husband David of Sanbornville, New Hampshire, mother in law Barbara O’Neil, father in law Dave Dabrieo, sister in laws Christine Miller, Joanne Pulliam, and Kathie Cook and her husband Bill, all of Sarasota.
