Joan B. Klosowski

Joan B. Klosowski, died on October 4, 2014 at the age of 80. She was the wife of the late Fred Burgdorf, with whom she shared 25 years of marriage. Born in Peabody on July 31, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Terence C. and Jane (Goreman) Klosowski. Joan attended Holten High School in Danvers. She had been a resident of Woodland, CA for the past 53 years. She had been employed at Mobil Chemical for 33 years in California. Joan loved to travel with her twin sister and enjoyed crafts, oil paintings and photography. She is survived by her twin sister, Jean V. Klosowski of Salem, her sister Phyllis Ryan of Lynn, her nephew, Paul Breau and niece Deborah Carkonen, her daughter, Caroline Cook of CA, two granddaughters and four great grandchildren and several cousins. She was predeceased by her brother Terence C. Klosowski, Jr. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10AM on Friday, October 17, 2014 in Saint Thomas the Apostle Church, 1 Margin St., Peabody. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Hobart St., Danvers. Visiting hours are Thursday from 4-7PM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St, Danvers.
