Joan H. (Uniac) O’Brien, 92, died Sunday evening, January 29, 2012 following a period of declining health. She was the wife of the late Clement O’Brien, with whom she shared 53 years of marriage. Born in Boston on July 11, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Molly (Foley) Uniac. She was raised and educated in Randolph and was a graduate of Randolph High School. A longtime Topsfield resident and communicant of Saint Rose of Lima Parish, she had also resided in Merrimac, Boxford, and Maine. She is survived by her children, Clement O’Brien and his wife Joan of Florida, Robert O’Brien of Florida, Michael O’Brien and his wife Mary of Maine, Maureen Demsey and her husband Ernest of Topsfield, Gail Demsey and her husband Gene of Danvers, and Ann Seaman and her husband Bruce of New Hampshire, her sister-in-law, Lois O’Brien, her daughter-in-law, Patricia O’Brien, her son-in-law, John Kidd, her grandchildren, Kevin, James, Kathleen, and Margaret O’Brien, Lynn Kurkur, Susan Dupre, Erin Giese, Claire McGowan, Marianne Moore, Ryan, Christopher, Patrick, and Michael Demsey, Meaghan Howlett, Caitlin Addonzio, and Kayla and Shaun Seaman, and 21 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Maryjoan Kidd. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, Feb. 3, 2012 at 10AM in Saint Rose of Lima Church, 20 Park St., Topsfield. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Topsfield. Visiting hours are Thursday from 4-7PM in C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square.
