John E. Dunn, 81, a lifelong resident of Danvers, died peacefully on Sunday, July 3, 2011 at the Radius Healthcare Nursing Home. Born in Danvers on Sept. 9, 1929, he was the son of the late David "Eddie" Dunn and Hazel M. (Brown) Dunn. John was raised and educated in Danvers. Prior to his retirement, he had worked in the Cafeteria at Sylvania on Endicott Street for over 30 years. He was a communicant of St. Richard's Parish in Danvers. John served in the Massachusetts Army National Guard for nine years. He was a lifetime member of the Peabody Lodge of Elks, a lifetime member of the Polish Club in Danvers and a former member of the Moose Lodge in Danvers and Salem. He was predeceased by his sister, Hazel L. Dunn. He is survived by his friends and caretakers, Norman and Lois Bolduc of Danvers. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, July 7, 2011 at 11 a.m. in St. Richard Church, Forest Street, Danvers. Visitation prior to the funeral from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at C.R.
