John F. Lewalski

John F. Lewalski, 87, passed away September 12, 2009 following a brief illness; he was the wife of Rose C. (Gatto) Lewalski, with whom he shared 67 years of marriage. Born in Peabody on January 25, 1922, he was the son of the late Felix and Annie (Urinovitz) Lewalski. Mr. Lewalski was a life long resident of Peabody. He was a leather worker in the tanneries in Peabody for many years. Besides his wife Rose, he is survived by a son John Lewalski of Orlando, FL, two daughters, Patricia and Susan and three grandchildren, William, Scott and Kristine. He was predeceased by siblings, Joseph, Al, Stephen and Stacia Lewalski and Helen Iawicki. A Funeral Service will be held at 10AM on Friday, Sept. 18, 2009 at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. Relatives and friends a re invited. There are no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Mr. Lewalski’s name to a charity of one’s choice.
