John J. Lipinski
March 7, 1958 ~ August 11, 2015
John J. Lipinski, Jr., 57, of Salem, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 11, 2015. He was the husband of Nancy A. (Gouthro) Lipinski, with whom he shared fifteen years of marriage.
Born in Danvers on March 7, 1958, he was the son of Gloria (Brooks) Lipinski of Danvers and the late John J. Lipinski, Sr. He was raised and educated in Danvers and was a 1976 graduate of Danvers High School.
John was employed as a service technician with Eastern Propane for forty years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Thomas E. Power Council #1505 and the Polish Club in Danvers.
More than anything, John was a loving and dedicated father. He enjoyed coaching his daughter’s softball team, their Sunday night bowling league, and supporting her in her theater program. He also enjoyed bicycling, fishing, and camping; and his famous chilli was always a hit at the barbeque.
In addition to his wife and mother, he leaves his beloved daughter Emma Lipinski of Salem, he leaves his sister, Alice P. Tierney of Middleton, his brother Bruce J. Lipinski of Danvers, many nieces and nephews and a loving extended family. He was predeceased by a brother, Joseph F. Lipinski.
His Funeral Service will be Saturday, Aug. 15, 2015 at 10AM in the Tabernacle Congregational Church, 50 Washington St., Salem. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are Friday from 5-8PM in C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John’s memory to the Salem YMCA, One Sewall St., Salem, MA 01970.

Nancy our hearts are broken for you and Emma. If you need anything we are here, always. Love you and Emma.
We will miss John greatly on his yearly camping trips to Colonial Mast Campground in Naples, Me – he, Harry and Elmo have made a huge presence at our campground over the years. John’s bragging about the “one that got away” will be missed…..as well as all the antics of the friends and fishing stories. Many years have passed- great memories, good friendships. Many games of bingo and pepperoni pizzas.
our best to the family and our heartfelt sorrow for you, Nancy and Emma. Ike, Chrisy & Tim, Tom & Deb, Rosie, Pete , Debbie and the girls.
So very sorry to read about this. My memories of John are all good ones, and my thoughts and love are with you all right now. Rest in peace, John.

John was a valued member of Salem Little League. He was a good coach, a great man and an outstanding husband and Father. He was the first to step up each year for the SLL clinic I run each February and March. He had a gentle smile, a winning way with people and tireless energy. It was a sure harbinger of spring the first time I saw John (and Emma) each February after a long winter of no ball. He brought a smile to my face. I will miss him.
Those that devote themselves to teach, mentor and care for the development and well being of our children shall never be forgotten.
My thoughts are with Emma and her family.

My brother John was an awesome brother. He was always there for me or my sons if we ever needed him.
He was the “best” Father to his daughter Emma. I’m sure he will be watching over her on a daily basis. He will still be there with her if only in spirit at her games, school events and all the productions at the YMCA & school, that she is an important part of. R.I.P. John Jr. ❤️
So sorry for your loss. John was very helpful to me when I first joined the Sunday Night Bowling League 2 years ago. My first string was against John’s team. I got a 31. He felt really bad for me and gave me some bowling tips that I still use today. After the tips, on the third string on frames 9, I got a spare and then on frame 10, a strike. We couldn’t believe it. After that he called me a sand bagger. ha ha. We always had a good time on Sunday Night Bowling. I will miss seeing John on Sunday nights at bowling. May GOD love and bless you all.
Nancy and Emma I’m sorry about your loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
