John P Kroll, 52, died peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House following his battle with brain cancer. John was a loving husband of Gail (AtKisson) Kroll with whom he shared thirty-two years of marriage. John was the proud dad of daughters, Samantha and Jessica. Born in Indiana, son of the late John and Bonnie (McFarland) Kroll and in addition to his wife and daughters is survived by his sisters Kari Kroll, Kathie Wasick, and Christy Robinson. John was a lighting engineer for over 30 years, currently employed at Parsons Brinkerhoff. He lit many of the roadways, tunnels and bridges throughout the country. He was also a member of the Roadway Lighting Committee and Illuminating Engineering Society (IES). His greatest moments were watching his daughters shine on the dance floor or on the basketball court. John's family will be celebrating his life privately. John was a good friend on the Roadway Lighting Committee. I will miss him. My thoughts and prayers are with you as I remember John . I will keep all of you in my prayers.
