John R. Maki

DANVERS-John R. Maki, 91, passed away in his home on March 6, 2023. He was the loving husband of Johannah (Martin) Maki with whom he shared 65 years of marriage.
Born in Orange, New Jersey on November 27, 1931, he was the son of John and Edith (Maillett) Maki. John had been a longtime resident of Danvers. He served our country with the National Guard for ten years. John had been employed as a chief tool engineer at the former United Shoe Machinery Corp. for 38 years.
In addition to his wife, Johannah, he is survived by two children and their spouses, Shaunna and Robert Ring of Amesbury and Richard and Lisa Maki of Topsfield, six grandchildren and their spouses, John and Colleen Ring, Michael Ring and Susan Goniprow, Michelle and Matthew Renda, Alyssa and Andrew Funicella, Peter and Tara Maki and Scott Maki, two great grandchildren Alaina and Aiden Funicella.
His Funeral Mass will be held at 10AM on Friday, March 17, 2023, in Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Visitation will be held from 4-7PM on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. The burial is private.
