Joseph Mozejko

DANVERS- Joseph Mozejko, 95, peacefully passed away on April 22, 2023, at Beverly Hospital following a brief illness. He was the husband of Anna (DePiero) Mozejko with whom he shared 68 years of marriage.
Born in Danvers on August 27, 1927, he was the son immigrants, the late Adam and Albina (Rundzia) Mozejko. Joseph was a lifelong resident of Danvers. He served our country with the United States Air Force during the WWII and was honorably discharged. He had been employed at the former Star Pantry market in Topsfield for many years. Joseph loved to walk; he would walk up to 6 miles a day and made many friends along the way. Joe loved telling stories of his military days. He loved his nieces and nephews. He was a simple man who saved his whole life; he never drove and didn’t want to. Joe also enjoyed visits to the library.
In addition to his wife Anna, he is survived by many nieces and nephews and will him dearly including Carol Stacey, Paul Mazerka, Donna Koch, Laura Perez, Mark DePiero, Deborah Rusinak, Judy Haworth, Deborah Gillis, and John Radack. He was predeceased by his beloved son Bryan Mozejko.
His funeral service will be held at 11AM on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Sylvan St., Danvers. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Joseph’s name to Shriners Hospitals for Children, PO Box 947765, Atlanta, GA, 30394.
