I am saddened to hear the news of Josephine’s passing. We meet as young girls in 1960. We married and became neighbors and our children went to school together. Josephine was an amazing friend and we shared so many great moments in our life. Making peanut brittle. That you could use as a doorstop. 😂Bleaching our hair, it ended up orange😂. Bingo at my house was a weekly event. These are just a few memories that I hold dear to my heart. Her pride and joy were her boys. May she find peace and love in her place in heaven❤️🙏
I want to offer my deepest condolences on the passing of Josephine. A person who has touched so many hearts and brought so many smiles. You will live on in our fondest memories for lifetimes to come.
Love always,
Pasquale, Carlo and Christine DiBenedetto
Josephine, I was your nurse when you were in the hospital in the early 1980s. I lived in East Boston too, and so we kept in touch. And you became a very dear friend to me, Josephine. Your home was always open and welcoming and I remember sitting in your kitchen and talking for hours over coffee with you, my friend. Your household was always busy with friends & family popping in and out…. I remember Roberta, and I remember Terri…. Ryan and “Junior” were not yet teen-agers…..
Life has a way of taking people down different paths, and mine led to the West Indies, but I never forgot you Josephine because you were the warmest and nicest friend anyone could ever have. This morning I thought of you again and I thought to look you up – and sadly discovered I was two months too late! Oh Jo, I wish I could have said good-bye to you and told you how special you were to me. I really loved you. To your sons Ryan and Lawrence: You were young boys when I came in and out of your mom’s life so you may not remember me, but I am so deeply sorry for your loss. You have my deepest sympathy. Your mother, in her humble and gracious way, was truly a great person. I will never forget her. Sincerely,
Nita
