Joyce O. Henderson, of Hudson, NH, formerly of Danvers, died unexpectedly at her home on Friday, January 5, 2024. Born in Beverly on February 2, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Leroy and June (Moser) Henderson, Jr. She was raised and educated in Danvers and was a 1974 graduate of Danvers High School. Joyce was employed for twenty-five years at Prudential, and more recently was employed at Global Payments. A longtime Danvers resident, Joyce was especially devoted to her nieces and nephews, to whom she was a second mother. She loved spending time with them, especially doing arts and crafts and watching Shark Week. Joyce leaves her twin sister June Lentine of Hudson NH, her sisters, Nancy Witham and her husband Henry of Rochester NH, and Barbara Dube and her husband Kenneth of Danvers, and her brothers, Richard Henderson and his wife Lori of Maryland and David Henderson and his wife Allison of Danvers. Joyce was cherished by many nieces and nephews. Joyce also leaves her lifelong friend Gary Baker of Hudson NH and his daughters, who she loved as her own, Stephanie and Carly. Her funeral service will be Sunday, January 14, 2024 at 12PM in C.R. Lyons & Sons Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial will be private. Visitation will be from 11AM-11:45AM prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
