BEVERLY- Judith A. (Reidy) Brigham, 90, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2023, in her home, surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Charles Brigham. Born in Newton on October 27, 1932, the daughter of the late Maurice and Mildred (Levi) Reidy, Judith was raised and educated in Newton. She attended Lasell Junior College and received her bachelor’s degree from Westbrook College in Maine. Judith spent many years living in Europe where she raised her four children. She moved back to the States to work at her brother’s restaurant, F. Parker Reidy’s in Portland, Maine. She also had a long career working as an assistant to the President for colleges in Maine and Boston. She was an active member of the First Church in Wenham. Later in life, Judith met and married Charles Brigham, and together they traveled and hiked all over Europe and the US. Judith loved the arts. Frequent visits to the symphony, ballet and museums with either Charlie or her sister Sally were the norm. Most of all, Judith loved being with her family either in Holland, New England or Alaska. She lived a life full of love and adventure! She is survived by four children, Anna Langstaff and her husband, Gary of Beverly, Christopher Hartogh and his partner, Diane Raymond of Maine, Katy van Boven and her husband, Steven of Holland and Mildred Hennings of Alaska, her sister, Sally Bergstrom of Topsfield and grandchildren, Eleanor Langstaff (Chris Stamm) Peter Langstaff (Jennifer), Julia, Colette and Emmy van Boven and two great grandchildren, Dylan and Emily. She was predeceased by her son-in-law, Andrew Hennings and siblings, Mary Sparks, Roger, Sandy, Robert and Parker Reidy. Her funeral services will be private.
