Julia Elizabeth “Betty” (Fish) Morgan, 91, of Manchester-by-the-Sea, passed away peacefully on Friday morning at the Ledgewood Nursing Home in Beverly. She was predeceased by her husband C. Richard Morgan. Born in Danvers, December 3, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Gladys (Hopkins) Fish. Betty graduated from Holton High School in Danvers in 1939 and worked at General Electric in Lynn until her marriage in 1947. She was a Manchester resident for over fifty years. Betty and her family were longstanding members of the Manchester Bath and Tennis Club. A dedicated wife and mother, Betty took great pride in her family and dedicated her life to their happiness and well-being. She loved hosting family gatherings with her children and grandchildren, especially during the holidays. More recently, she enjoyed several good years as a resident of the Herrick House in Beverly where she made many friends. She is survived by her children, Abigail M. Moreau of Exeter, NH and Richard E. Morgan and his wife Susan of Hamilton. She also leaves her grandchildren, Morgan, Caroline, Colby and Nathaniel. She was pre-deceased by her brother, John H. Fish, Sr. and her sister, Norma Moran. A Memorial Reception will be held in her honor on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at 3:30 PM in the Wenham Tea House, 4 Monument St., Wenham, MA. Friends and family are welcome to attend.
