Karen L. (Kushnieruk) Poulsen, 51, of Ruskin, FL, was unexpectedly stricken and passed away at the South Bay Hospital in Sun City Center, FL on July 24. Karen was the beloved daughter of her father, Peter A. Kushnieruk and his wife Joan Kushnieruk of Danvers and her mother and stepfather Sheila and Warren Prescott of Tewksbury. Born in Lynn, she lived most of her life in Florida, where she married the late Anthony Bartlett. Karen and Tony had one daughter, Alexandra “Lexi” Barlett of Philadelphia, PA. Karen later married the love of her life, the late Jimmy Poulsen. Most of Karen’s working career was in the restaurant management business. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. In addition to her parents and daughter, she is survived by her brother Peter D. Kushnieruk, her twin niece and nephew, Charlotte and Nicholas Kushnieruk, her sister Stefanie and husband Don DeLuca, nephew Chad DeLuca, and beloved aunt and godmother Linda Kushnieruk of Tuscon, AZ. A memorial Service will be held on Friday evening, Aug. 3, 2012 at 7PM in the Calvary Episcopal Church, corner of Holten and Cherry Sts., Danvers. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody, will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Assoc., 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701 or the March of Dimes, 112 Turnpike Road, Suite 102, Westborough, MA, 01581.

Dear Joan & Peter, Chuck and I send our deepest sympathy. Losing a child, no matter how old is so devastating. We can sympathize as we lost our son at age 37. Please know our thoughts and prayers will be with you during this time.
