Kevin J. Lawrence, 72, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on September 24, 2024 after a brief but devastating battle with brain cancer.
Kevin grew up in Peabody but resided in Southern California for the majority of his life. To know Kevin was to love him-kind, good-natured, funny and always up for a good time is how he would want to be remembered by all. Anyone who has ever spent time with him knows the love he had for his family and for life. He was a people person to the core-spending the majority of his life working in real estate. He loved watching football, boating, skiing, watching his children play sports growing up, and above all-his family. His sense of humor was unmatched and luckily, it will live on in his children.
After 45 years in California, Kevin and his beloved wife Margee finally moved back home to Massachusetts to be near their children and grandchildren. Kevin, fondly known as Pops, to his two grandchildren loved being a grandfather and spent two glorious years living close by and spending time with them constantly.
Kevin was lucky enough to spend over 50 years with his wife, Margee (Femino) Lawrence. They were married in 1978 and shared two children and two grandchildren. In addition to his loving wife, Margee, he is survived by his daughter Jessica (Lawrence) Blomerth, son in law Michael Blomerth, and their children Ella and Lucas; his son, Nicholas and his girlfriend Christine Dela Rosa; brothers Gary Lawrence, Paul Lawrence, Tim Lawrence; many sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, Donald J Lawrence and Dorella (Hebert) Lawrence; sister in law, Patricia (Femino) Cobb; his niece, Sarah (Nicoll) Boyle.
A celebration of life will be held privately for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Kevin’s name to the Glioblastoma Foundation at glioblastomafoundation.org.

Our love and condolences to this wonderful family. The loss of Kevin is truly heartbreaking 💔 he is at peace now and in our Lords hands. So many wonderful memories I have with Kevin and Marg. I truly love this family and I am so grateful to have known such a wonderful loving friend RIP sweet Kevin 🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻
Kevin and I first worked together, along with Margee, for Coast Equities at Woodlake in Santa Ana. We sold leased land condos with rates around 15%! We had so much fun at that job. We would crank up the music and it was a party atmosphere. Good thing, too, as not much was selling at those rates! Kev and I worked together for a few different builders over our careers. I loved working with him. He was an excellent salesperson and also honest and ethical. I can’t remember ever having a disagreement with him. I have been close friends with Kevin and Margee for around 40 years. As a couple they have been a role model for what marriage is supposed to be. Those two wacky kids were made for each other.
There will not be a New Year’s Eve, Kevin’s birthday, that I won’t think of him and be grateful for the wonderful friend he has been to me.

To my dearest friend Marg and family,
I am writing to offer my deepest condolences on the passing of Kevin. He was a kind and compassionate person with a big heart, and a bigger than life personality. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. I remember when our families were first brought together through the friendship of Jade and Jessica in second grade. From that moment on, we shared many memories that will always hold a special place in our hearts.
May your cherished memories of Kevin, as a husband and dad bring you all comfort and strength during this time of grief and loss.
May he find eternal peace. ✝️🤍
Dear Margee, Jessica and Nicholas,
I’m so incredibly sorry for the loss of Kevin. I can’t imagine what you’re going through. This is beyond difficult. My heart goes out to all of you. When you are ready, I’m here for you. Lots of love.

Kevin was one of a kind. He had that twinkle in his eyes, that infectious smile, his big heart & good nature was felt by all who knew him. He was part of a great group of us who sold real estate together for years. His love for San Diego & the beach life was obvious. Always looking for fun whether water skiing or throwing great Super Bowl parties. Watching the family grow with the birth of Jessica & Nick that he & Margee were so devoted to. My heart breaks for you. You will be remembered old friend! God bless!!!!
