Kevin Michael McCarthy, 21, passed away suddenly following a car crash on Oct. 13, 2010. Kevin was born in Beverly Hospital on Sept. 22, 1989. He was a graduate of Danvers High School, Class of 2008 and attended University of Rhode Island. Kevin had been a teammate on the Danvers High soccer team as well as the Aztecs Club soccer. He is survived by his parents, Lisa and Gary Larsen of Danvers and Michael and Roseann McCarthy of Lynnfield, siblings, Andrew and Katalin Larsen and Gia, Samantha and Nicholas Francucci, grandparents, Bernard and Jane McCarthy of Florida and many aunts, uncles and cousins. A Funeral Service will be held at 11AM on Monday, Oct. 18, 2010 in Calvary Christian Church, 47 Grove St., Lynnfield. Vst. Hrs are Sunday from 3-7PM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Kevin McCarthy Memorial Fund, c/o Salem Five, 8 Walkers Brook Dr., Reading, MA, 01867

  39. I will always remember kevin’s boudless energy when playing soccer. His fearless runs to the goal were of sheer determination and competiveness. The goalie could only wish that he didn’t have to come face to face with Kevin, because somehow, he would will the ball in, if he had to. His “never give up” style of play would have resulted in a very successful life, but I guess heaven needed an angel now of that caliber.

  40. Kevin Michael McCarthy aka my “Little Yoda” my 21 year old nephew may your rest in peace – no more pain, no more sorrow, except for those left behind. Your wake and funeral were amazing. Gee, Kev, there must have been 1000 people at your wake – that’s how loved you are. Don’t let your Nana kick you in the tush too often. May the Lord bless you and keep you, may He cause His face to shine upon you and give you peace……
