Leonard E. Kelly, 33, died peacefully alongside family and loved ones on March 17, 2024 at St. Vincent Hospital in Bridgeport, Connecticut, after a brief illness. Born in Torrance, California, on June 3, 1990, Lenny was the cherished son of Julie Wright and Jerome Kelly.
Lenny's early years were spent in Brookfield where he was raised and educated, laying the foundation for a life full passion and unconditional love for all those around him. Into adulthood he contributed his talents to the art of paving including Walker Paving of Newton, New Hampshire, showcasing his dedication and hard work.
Lenny had an unwavering love for nature, animals, and music. His joy was found in the simplicity of being outdoors, whether it was camping, fishing, boating, or just basking in the sunshine at the beach. Above all, Lenny was a devoted father to his daughter, Olivia Grace, whom he loved more than anything in this world.
Lenny's memory will be cherished and kept alive by his loving family; his parents, Julie Wright and Jerome Kelly; stepfather, Scott Wright; siblings, Mary “Mimi” Kelly and Brian Kelly; stepsister, Cassandra Wright; beloved daughter, Olivia Grace Kelly; mother to Olivia Grace,Jessica Redente; nephew, Troy Kelly as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends who were touched by his gentle spirit and kind heart.
A funeral service to honor Lenny's life will be held on Monday, March 25, 2024, at 6 p.m. at C.R. Lyons & Sons Funeral Directors, 28 Elm Street, Danvers. Friends and loved ones are invited to gather for visitation beginning at 4 p.m., prior to the service. Kindly omit flowers. The family requests that donations be made in Lenny's memory to the Merrimack Valley Feline Rescue, 63 Elm Street, Salisbury, MA 01952, a cause close to his heart for his love of animals.
