Lilia Belen (Ortiz) Fiat

Lilia Belen (Ortiz) Fiat, 83, passed away on July 2, 2012. She was the wife of the late Selin Fiat with whom she shared many years of marriage. Born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic on May 2, 1929, she was the daughter of Americo and Rosa (Peña) Ortiz. Lilia was a 20 year resident of Danvers, a long time member of the local YMCA and devout catholic. She is survived by three daughters, Dr. Lilia S. Fiat and her husband Timothy Gannon of Danvers, C. Mariel Fiat of Kingston, Jamaica and Selma B. Landry and her husband Sidney of Mandeville, LA. Her siblings, Julio Ortiz , Ramon Ortiz , Digna Ortiz and Rosa Ortiz of DR, 7 grandchildren Selim Fernandez, Milton Fernandez, Nicole Senac, Matthieu Landry, Arianna Landry, Julien Auffret and Frances Auffret and a great grandson Jordan Fernandez. She was predeceased by two brothers, Americo and Pedro Ortiz. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11AM on Friday, July 6, 2012 in St. Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery. There are no visiting hours.
