Lillian A. Bochetti

Lillian A. (McAlevey) Bochetti, 90 of Peabody, formerly a resident of Danvers for 50 years, died on Thursday, December 14, 2023 after a short illness. She was the loving wife of the late Daniel J. Bochetti who predeceased her in 2001.
Born in Malden on May 20, 1933 she was the daughter of the late Earl and Mary (Barrett) McAlevey. She was raised in Saugus and was a graduate of Saugus High School.
Lillian's employment always accommodated her family's needs. She provided childcare in her home for many children and could always be counted on to babysit on short notice.
Lillian worked "mothers' hours" at Hotwatt in Danvers for many years, retiring at age 73.
Her role as a mother and grandmother (Nonnie) was a source of profound joy and purpose and created a wealth of cherished memories. Her home was always filled with laughter, warmth and love. She relished celebrating every holiday, hosting festive gatherings with family and friends. Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter were among her favorites. She was a gifted cook and baker who delighted family and friends with her culinary creations.
Lillian was a lover of the ocean, an avid Scrabble player and a loyal Celtics fan.
She was a faithful communicant of St. Richard’s Church, where she and Dan taught CCD classes, participated in youth group activities, volunteered at programs for the needy and attended prayer groups and retreats. She also served the parish, Beverly Hospital , several health care centers and the homebound as a Eucharistic minister.
She leaves three loving children, Cheryl MacDonald and her husband, Richard Messina of Peabody, Cindy Littlefield and her husband Kevin of Beverly and Christopher Bochetti and his wife Randi of Haverhill. Her four beloved grandchildren, Zachary Littlefield, Kristina Littlefield and her husband, Joshua Lueken, Katelyn Bochetti and Alexis Bochetti, a great-grandaughter Isla Sofia and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her siblings, Mary, Florence, John, George and Thomas.
Lillian's generous, kind and loving spirit will endure in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at 10 AM at St. Richard's Church, 90 Forest St, Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are Tuesday, December 19th from 5 - 7 PM at C.R. Lyons & Sons Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St. Danvers Square.
