PEABODY- Lois Lee (Anderson) Hebert, 66, surrounded by her family including her loving husband of 26 years Dan, passed peacefully on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at Salem Hospital.
Born in Brockton on December 6, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Oscar Anderson and Rebecca (Greenough) (Anderson) Peterson. Lois was raised and educated in Peabody. She had been employed as a teller for many years at the Align Credit Union in Danvers and then worked at Douglass Appliance, also in Danvers. Lois enjoyed trips to Foxwoods and Florida, but especially loved spending time with her family.
Besides her husband, Daniel, she is survived by her five children, John Burton and his wife Deborah of Groveland, Tammy Burton of Boston, Molly Detviler and her husband Michael of Newburyport, Melissa Hebert of Salem and Daniel Hebert of Maryland, eleven siblings, Bobbie Douglass, Janet Hidden, Jeanne Maxwell, Elsa Eckman, Karen Caproni, John, Fred, and Danny Peterson, Rebecca King, Anna Igo, and Suzanne Pinho, seven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother David Peterson.
She will be remembered for being a remarkable wife, mother, nana, sister and friend to all. Her enduring spirit, strong will, loving heart, resonated throughout her life, in every aspect and touched all who were blessed enough to know her.
Always a magnet in the room, everyone gravitated to her. Her beauty was shown inside and out. She had the ability to make the small mundane seem extraordinary, taking pleasure in the simple things in life. She brightened our days and our lives.
She leaves behind a beautiful legacy… a legacy of love.

Dan I’m so sorry for the loss of your beloved wife Lois. Losing someone you love is so hard. She’ll always be a part of you and you’ll always have her in your heart. Just take it day to day and sometimes minute by minute and you’ll get through each day. It will be a year next month that Les has been gone and I miss him every day. Love, Jacquie(Pelletier) Wiebe.
My heart is not broken but rather filled. My mother gave me more than I deserve and more than I could ask for. It is her strength that carried me throughout and carries me now. I couldn’t ask for more. Blessed are we that know my mom. She is a treasure that I carry in my heart and her love and kindness transcend her passing. Ill miss her physical presence but I know she is with me.

Beautiful love song of your heart <3
My beautiful wife,
Sleep well. What we have is more than anyone could imagine. Although I’m heartbroken, what we had for almost 27 years will forever be with me. You will be in my thoughts, prayers, and heart for my remaining days until we are together again. God has a plan and right now his gain is our loss. You are free from your pain. Thank you for being my wife, best friend, and soulmate. Until we’re together again.
With all my love forever,
Dan

I met Lois at the former NMTWCU, now Align Credit Union, back in the late 80s when I was working for the Phone company. Although our relationship consisted of a once a week visit (when checks used to be cashed) over the course of several years, I will never forget the lovely lady she was. Always greeted with a smile, always a willingness to help not only me, but all her customers. Lois had her own following at the credit union, even if there were open tellers most of us would rather wait in line until her window opened because we were all in need of a kind word and good conversation and Lois never let us down. She always amazed me when she would ask me how my daughters were, by name (never having met them) and always had a follow up question to a previous conversation we had. She was a true people person, with a loving personality. I was saddened to hear of her passing, and although I don’t know Dan and her family personally, I just wanted them to know the memorable imprint your loved one had on those of us who were lucky enough to have met her during her career at the Credit Union. I am very sorry for your loss and I wish you comfort and peace while remembering and celebrating the life of such a beautiful person! – Lisa Romano Danvers Ma

Sorry to hear about Lois. Funny, we were just talking about her in July at your shop. I have good memories of Lois from our youth. We used to ride the school bus together in elementary school. She was always kind and soft spoken. May she rest in peace.

It is really amazing this life we have and how quickly things can change. I have so many great memories, thank you Auntie Lois for being such a positive and fun part of my life. You always had a positive outlook and an optimistic way to look at the bright side that showed everyone who knew you how much you really cared. I will always remember your love for me and my family, your dry and witty humor and your amazing ability to always speak the truth with kindness. You are loved and I am truly blessed to have known you. God has gained another angel. You will be missed!
