Lorraine J. Weatherbee

Lorraine J. Weatherbee (Reeves), 79, passed away on April 10th, 2020. She was the devoted wife of the late Robert Weatherbee.

Born in Chelsea, Ma on May 16th 1940, she was the daughter of the late Charles & Sarah (Sworin) Reeves. In her adulthood, Lorraine moved to Peabody, where she and her husband raised their family. In addition to house making, Lorraine often joined her husband on business endeavors. She was the matriarch of her tight-knit family, and hosting holidays and parties brought her the greatest happiness and pride. She was a bona fide doodler and a wiz at crossword puzzles! She was always up for a game of poker or scrabble, and she loved shopping – and returning.

Lorraine was predeceased by her brothers, Howard and William Reeves, her steadfast sons Jay R. Weatherbee, and Raymond S. Weatherbee, and her daughter, best friend, and confidant, Beth Anne Weatherbee.

Lorraine is survived by her dedicated daughter in law, Susan Weatherbee. She also leaves behind her son, Kevin Weatherbee & his wife Stephanie, her dear grandchildren, Krystle, Katelyn, Jay R. Jr., Kimberly, Kristen, Victoria, Robert, Christian, and William Weatherbee and her great grandchildren Joshua, Kenneth, Jackson, Kylie, Gavin, Juliet, and Ellie Weatherbee, and her beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

As a loving guide and mentor to us all, she is deeply missed.

A private service was held on July 15th, 2026. Lorraine, Jay, and Beth were loving laid to rest together.
