Lorraine M. Ellis

Lorriane Marie (Maynard) Ellis, 80, died Friday, November 8, 2013 in her home with her family and friends by her side after a long 5 year battle with brain cancer. She was the wife of the late Harold R. Eillis. Born in Danvers on May 17, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Mary Anna (LeBlanc) Maynard. She was raised and educated in Danvers and was a graduate of Holten High School and the Beverly Hospital School of Nursing. She loved her work as a registered nurse, and spent her last working years at Endicott College in Beverly, which she cherished. . She enjoyed taking time with her grandchildren, spending summers at the family camp in Fairhaven, breathing in the fresh salty ocean air and visiting with her cat Holly. She is survived by her children: Brian and Denise Ellis of Newmarket, NH (grandchildren: Celia, Candice, and Brian Ellis); Robert Ellis of Danvers, MA (grandchildren: Vanessa Ellis and Derek Allen) and Elizabeth DeMild of Peabody, MA (grandchildren: Lindsey and Calie DeMild ). She is also survived by her brother Eugene F. and Jane E. Maynard of Danvers and sister Jeanne C. Maynard of Summerville, SC, and many nieces and nephews who will miss her terribly. Her children send a special thank you to her sister for devoting her time assisting with Lorraine's care over the past 5 years, and to her friends who have been great supports over the past years. May she finally rest in peace. As requested, all services are private.
