Lorraine V. Sandt

Lorraine Vera Sandt age 90, died July 18th peacefully at the Kaplan Family Hospice House surrounded by loved ones. She is survived by her three children. Judy Krusell and her husband David Landy of Shrewsbury, N.J, Jan Krusell and his wife Diane Carroll of Beverly, and Lauren Sideri of Danvers. She leaves her beloved grandchildren, Sarah Landy of New York City, N.Y, Seth Landy and his wife Jaching Landy of San Francisco, Ca. Scott Carroll and his wife Rayna Carroll of South Lake Tahoe, Ca, Sean Carroll and his wife Danielle Linzer of Ridgewood, N.Y. Nicholas Sideri and his wife Gillian Sideri of Peabody and Douglas Sideri of Gloucester. In addition she leaves four precious great-grandchildren, Aleka and Aspen Carroll and Nicholas and Nolan Sideri. She was also blessed with three wonderful caretakers, Kris Berry Hurton, Yamilca Diaz, and Gayle Brunet. Lorraine was born in Salem and raised in Peabody. She was the daughter of Marion (Greenlaw) Kasper. In her later years she returned to live in Danvers a town that she loved so much. She loved gardening, golf, reading, bridge, and entertaining. Lorraine always seemed younger than she was because of her love of learning, her great sense of humor and innate wisdom. Throughout her life Lorraine gave generously and unconditionally not only to her family and friends but to all those she came into contact with. She lived with kindness and love and was a teacher to many. She will be dearly missed. A Memorial Service to celebrate Lorraine’s life will be held on August 2nd at 10:00 AM at Maple Street Congregational Church, 90 Maple St., Danvers. Interment is private and there are no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Friends of the Danvers Council on Aging, 25 Stone St., Danvers, MA 01923.
